I’ve always seen analog photography as one of the most honest art forms because of the discipline it requires. Unlike digital, where you can fire off hundreds of shots and check a screen, film forces you to trust your own eyes and wait for the right moment. I’ve been shooting this way for some years now because I love that mix of science and craftsmanship where light is captured through pure chemistry on a physical medium. Especially with how much AI and digitalization are taking over lately, there is something unique about having a tangible negative (or positive lol) that actually existed in the moment.
This gallery is an archive of some of those selected moments, organized by year and month. These are high-resolution scans from my local shop and I don't do any digital color grading since I want the natural character of the film to do the work. I stick to the basics like cropping, orientation, or monochrome (for B/W), and I sometimes use physical lens filters while shooting to adjust the look in the moment rather. I export these as 90% webp on this page, and you can find the technical details for each shot listed right underneath the image. The license terms are here but if you are interested in a unique piece or print I am sure we can arrange something if you email me at contact@magnus.town.
